FirePower (on-going)

This game started as a way of practicing my Unity fundamentals, but quickly grew into it's own project. In FirePower, the focus lies on skill-based movement. The controlling of the character is relatively easy, but by combining attacks with your moveset the player can achieve a higher sense of mastery and flow.

A Passing Friend

The game 'A Passing Friend' was a project created by a small team of IT and media design students following HAN University's 'Game Design' minor. In the game you play as your recently deceased pet, and go on a small quest through the stages of grief to help you mourn your lost companion. Despite the project's short run-time of about 10 weeks, I learned a lot about what being a part of a game 'company' really means. As a member of the design team I learnt a lot about level flow, player attention, narrative mechanics and playtesting. And as the design team's leader I learnt a lot about communication between disciplines, asserting opinions and leading a team.

Value of Value

Value of Value is a gamified way of learning to recognize color value (brightness). Receive a random color and try to match up it's color value (in grayscale) with the slider. After choosing a greyscale value, the middle box will turn into the correct greyscale value so you can compare your guess to the answer. This color-theory based game is useful for building understanding of different colors' inherent value, which in turn will help you add contrast in your artbook to achieve better compositions.

Descenity

This short game made entirely within an 2-day game jam was mostly an experiment for me. The horror theme was slightly outside of my comfort zone, but armed with some theory around environmental storytelling I tried to make something a little bit deeper than the average jumpscare-based thriller. In the game you play as a doctor as he finds out he's been locked in his local hospital for the night. As you walk around, memories of past patients start to haunt him. You must search for medication and survive until morning without being overwhelmed by your memories of the people that came and went throughout your long service at this medical facility.

Prompt Generator

A small project that generates fun ideas for when you don't know what to draw. Receive a random adjective and a noun to get your creativity up and running.
